English Peer Mentoring Program

1 – Mentors wanted
We are recruiting upper year English students to volunteer with our mentorship program. We are looking for mentors and senior mentors.
Please see the attached documents for descriptions of available positions. I have also attached an application form. Please submit applications, and if possible a signed volunteer agreement, to myself- Katie Jessup- (kejessup@uwaterloo.ca) by Saturday January 11th at 11:59 pm. I will contact successful candidates by Monday morning. This program can be a fun way to practice leadership while helping your English peers!

2 – Mentees wanted
We have an exciting opportunity to participate in our newly formed mentorship program! We are looking for English students who would like to be paired up with an upper-year mentor to receive mentorship support one-on-one and in a group. Our goals this semester include hosting events for participants to connect with other English students. Please see the attached handbook for a better idea of what our program is all about! This handbook is geared towards our mentors (it has guidelines and such) but it can also give potential "mentees"  a sense of our goals and structure. Whether you participated this past fall, or wish to sign up for the first time, please contact myself- Katie Jessup- at kejessup@uwaterloo.ca by the end of January.

Applications: If you are not subscribed to the English department, make sure to email Emily to get hooked up there! Emily Hudson <e4hudson@uwaterloo.ca>
